First one to write on New Year Day...kiasu one.....another year older...Gosh!! coming to 50 soon...

W is working today so am now with the 3 spinsters.....had a lonely new eve celebration yesterday (sob sob) - VL working & the other 2 out to celebrate.

Wow! am impressed that SY is also skyping now....with YL, of course.

Apparently, SY & YL have made a pact....SY will work on her parents to migrate here (SY....Big Big impossible task!!) & YL on getting a dog....not a fair one!. I don't mind having one...but more of finding people to look after when we are not around.

Having a craving for Har Meen so will be having it for dinner today.....eat again!!

Mana all the Ngs & Mother Ng??? Be supportive la.......Jin, please teach her....time she catches up with technology....every time when I think something is mah fun, T will automatically appear in my mind & I will make a point to overcome this negative thinking.

New year resolution....less cooking & housework & more time for myself!!!

Hi all

Just a short one today to make my mark. Today's the 4th day after returning from down under and we (at least I am) struggling to catch up with errands. Have a long list of to dos. Today is also NEW YEAR's EVE! not that we are soooo trendy but the media has caught on to me and I am getting abit upbeat about it too. More of an excuse to go on a holiday tomorrow.

Hey everyone...this is my first entry into the Chan Daily :) Yea, like Yen Li said, our house is so much quieter now but even with all the extra dishes to do and double the amount of clothes to fold, I love having the Ngans over. Also, having Meei Yee here and Jin was awesome too, especially since we haven't seen Jin for so long! Now, our house is like a hotel after the residents has left. Under Ms Chan Sow Leng's orders, we had to take out all our bed sheets, give the house a thorough vacuum, took out all the pillow covers in the living room and washed almost four loads of bedsheets and clothes yesterday. She's okay I think, probably knowing that she is most likely to go back in 6 months.

Today is Yu Li's birthday so we are going for Japanese food today. It should be great. We don't eat Japanese food outside often because it can be quite expensive. Thus, if we want to eat any Japanese food, we try to just make it ourselves. She's such a bum, asked her to go out to the movies today to see Vicky Cristina Barcelona but she said that she can't be bothered. Anyways, I gotta go fry dumplings now :) Take care! ^^

Whoa~ I can't believe it's been more than an entire month since all you guys came over, and left! It happened so quickly. It seemed like just two days ago that we finished our exams, Meei Yee came over, Jin, our results, Ngans... like domino blocks really and now everything's finished!

The house is strangely silent. Vei Li has gone to work, Yu Li is sleeping- again, and mum and dad are pottering around the garden. I miss the 'lau yik' atmostphere. Haha oh well won't be long before next December arrives and we'll all meet again before we know it. =)

I'm not sure if I've told the rest of you guys but I am now jobless. ='( Yeah how sad. I need to go look for another job soon, can't just lump around in front of the tv for the next 2 months! Well I got a 'Christmas Casual' position at 'The Body Shop'. The contract was supposed to last till the end of Jan but apparently they don't usually keep any casuals after Christmas... Oh well, I had lots of fun playing around with the makeup sets that they had there ^_^

How was everyone else's Christmas? For the first time ever, we actually opened our presents on the actual Christmas morning. LOL.

We also braved the crowd and bought some stuff during Boxing Day. Very satisfied =D
